The
International Faculty and Scholar Services
serves as Texas A&M University and
it’s System
members most important source of guidance on
immigration matters related to employment.
In this regard it assists and support
academic departments across Texas A&M
University and System members to attain the
appropriate immigration status for the
employment of their international faculty,
researchers and staff.
Accordingly, IFSS core responsibility
involves assisting in the preparation of
documents required by federal regulations to
obtain the appropriate nonimmigrant
/immigrant benefit while working at TAMU and
System members.
The relationship between IFSS and the
employing departments is of utmost
importance to the success of our operations
as our customers are the hiring
departments. Accordingly, IFSS heightens
the awareness
of employing departments with regards to
some of the most relevant issues in the
employment of international faculty and
researchers and provides up-to date news,
conferences, seminars, workshops and
publication of employment guides.
In addition, IFSS also renders welcoming
events for international faculty and
researchers by hosting activities and
providing relevant information to facilitate
the integration, participation and
adjustment of international faculty and
researchers to both the Texas
A&M and the local
community.
