About Us
Immigration Affairs is the office charged with the responsibility of providing support and guidance to Texas A&M University and its System members as it relates to the employment of foreign nationals. We are tasked with ensuring that the appropriate nonimmigrant status is attained for international faculty, researchers and staff. All questions concerning the employment of a foreign national who requires work authorization should be directed to our office.
Our staff works closely with both academic and non-academic departments across the University and System. They are our customers and as such, we strive to provide the highest levels of customer service. That service includes:
- Providing guidance on appropriate nonimmigrant status;
- Assisting in ensuring their foreign national employees maintain proper work authorization;
- Providing educational workshops and seminars;
- Supporting the departments in sponsoring eligible foreign national employees for permanent residence.
